Patricia Tapia, artistically known as Yxaya, is a Mexican visual artist whose work emerges from the dialogue between ancestral memory, nature, and contemporary human experience.
She studied at the National Institute of Fine Arts School of Design (EDINBA) in Mexico, where she developed a strong visual foundation that later evolved into a multidisciplinary and deeply symbolic artistic practice.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has participated in community and cultural projects with organizations such as Somos Mayfair, Veggielution, and as an art instructor at the School of Arts and Culture (SoAC) and The Audacy Performing Arts Project, among others. These experiences have reinforced her belief in art as a powerful tool for identity, collective healing, and cultural continuity.
